Entretelas centers around the Three Fates: Clotho, who is the weaver of all lives, Atropos, who cuts a human’s existence with her scissors, and Lahkesis, who controls the destiny of all living. One day, Lahkesis gets tired of how humans staunchly refuse to accept their fate, and decides to put an end to humanity. That is, until he came along.
This little fable, told in beautiful cinematography and in careful detail, may focus on a fickle immortal begrudging her responsibilities, but it also shows the frailty and randomness of existence. While remaining curious and ethereal, Entretelas also tells a simple story while being humorous and enjoyable. Because, after all, who are we to know who really controls our fates? Quite a gem of a short film.
I really enjoyed this one, plus I think that it’s quite an interesting interpretation of the Greek Moirai. What about you? What did you think of the little story here, and of Clotho, Atropos, and Lahkesis?
