Sentir, No Decir (Feel, Not To Say)

Sentir No Decir

Sentir, No Decir (Feel, Not To Say, in English) is a short film about the conversation between two old friends. The director and the actress are both busy, so they only have time for a quick, friendly chat between takes. More interesting than the conversation itself are the words seemingly left unsaid. The lady puts it well when she notes that there are times when you’re saying volumes, but not saying anything at all. Continue Reading

A Primera Vista (At First Sight)

A Primera Vista

A Primera Vista (At First Sight, in English) starts off with an old man on a bench. He looks around the area, sees a romantic couple, and is suddenly on the lookout for a potential lady friend. He meets a few women, but one in particular may try to catch his eye.

This short film is just sweet. It has an innocent premise, but what a revealing ending. It can be difficult to find and fall for a potential mate at any given time, but people can still fall in love, no matter what age. Also, how admirable patient love can be.

(240p quality on YouTube, but it has English subtitles as captions. How about this adorable short film about the love story between a Teatro Lambe Lambe puppeteer and a mailman? Or what about this SFW film of a geriatric couple looking over the Kama Sutra?) Continue Reading

enREDados

Enredados

Enredados is a short film about a video game geek who sets up his place for a date with a girl he met online. His quiet introverted self is only magnified by his guest, a vocal young lady with a curious past and an even curiouser forwardness. What was dreamed as a pleasurable evening does not exactly come to terms, and where the two of them may end up in is anyone’s guess.

This is a silly film. It shows the pitfalls and potentials dangers of online dating. It also makes you wary about bringing that new girl (who may or may not be into BDSM) into your apartment for the first time. Proceed with caution, kids.

(Besides English subtitles, this one has Spanish subtitles available also in closed captions. By the way, maybe you’ll also enjoy this short film of a lady having dinner at home with her ideal man. Or how about this film about a couple in an awkward one night stand?) Continue Reading

Me Siento Culpable (I Feel Guilty)

Me Siento Culpable is a short film with many titles. It is also known as Errudun Sentitzen Naiz, Ich Fühle Mich Schuldig, and, in English, I Feel Guilty. While its dialogue is mostly in Spanish, this short film also features some talk in Basque and German, too. I guess no matter how many languages you use, there is only one feeling you can really have over private relations with someone you shouldn’t have relations with: guilt.

The story here is told in a nonlinear fashion, so don’t be surprised if the scenes tend to jump a bit. There is also some sexual content here, so please be advised that this is quite NSFW. Still, what a drama-filled ending.

(Although many languages are present here, there are still English subtitles available for this. Fancy another film with different languages, this time Latin? Or how about another movie featuring guilt?) Continue Reading

Burbuja (Bubble)

Burbuja

This short film is about a girl who is readying herself for a driver’s exam, while enjoying some intimate time with her man between preparation sessions. It also involves plenty of canned (or bottled) beverages… And to what purpose it is used is something the Internet apparently knows much about.

Fun, silly short film overall. I quite appreciated its grittiness and realistic simplicity. Oh, and ladies: please don’t try this at home. (By the way, Burbuja is definitely NSFW, thanks to the sexual content.)

(For your viewing pleasure, this one has English subtitles. Interested in more sexy films? Or maybe you’d just want to see old people talk about “new positions”?) Continue Reading
